Kirsty Provan is a 23yr old actor currently residing
in Vancouver, Canada. Originally hailing from Fife, Scotland, Kirsty
moved to Vancouver at the age of nine. At 16, she was given the profound
opportunity to work with some of Vancouver's finest actors in her first
mainstage production at Pacific Theatre, under the direction of Ron
Reed. After finishing her first year of University at 18, she decided
she wasn't ready to say goodbye to the acting world, and Ron once again
bestowed unbelievable generosity in extending her an invitation to the
apprenticeship program at Pacific Theatre- making Kirsty the youngest
apprentice to have ever gone through the one year program. She was cast
in the final show of Pacific Theatre's 2006/2007 Seasons, playing the
lead role of Joseph in Jason Sherman's "Remnants." Completing the one
year apprenticeship at age 19, she was then accepted into Studio 58; one
of the most presitigious and competitive conservatory acting schools in
Canada. She graduated from the three year program in the Spring of
2010, with credits that ranged from playing Kim MacAfee in "Bye Bye
Birdie," to "Paulina," in one of Shakespeare's most talked about
mysteries, "The Winter's Tale."
Known for her tough work ethic and ease under direction, she looks forward to the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
